Romans 1:18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them.
Daniel 8:25a Through his [anti-Christ] cunning
He shall cause deceit to prosper under his rule;
And he shall exalt himself in his heart.
2 Peter 3:18 "3 knowing this first: that scoffers [skepticism, suppression of the truth] will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”
We allow the enemy to deceive, to manipulate and to sabotage us through the world, the flesh and the devil.
1 Peter 1:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.
Believers do not need to be deceived.
1 John 2:13b I write to you, young men,
Because you have overcome the wicked one.
1 John 2:14b I have written to you, young men,
Because you are strong, and the Word of God abides in you,
And you have overcome the wicked one.

Witnesses to the reality of faith
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Abel's sacrifice through which God confirmed that he was righteous.
Enoch, a testimony that pleased God: "he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him".
Noah "believed that He is" and on the strength of that built an ark for a rain and a flood that had never happened before in the history of the world.
Abraham obeyed in faith and went out not knowing where he was going.
Sarah believed she would give birth to a son for multitudes of descendants to come.

light
Isaiah 9
1d "In Galilee of the Gentiles.
2 The people who walked in darkness
Have seen a great light;
Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death,
Upon them a light has shined."
John 8
12 Then Jesus spoke to them saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life."

spiritual riches
Job 28
12 But where can wisdom be found?
And where is the place of understanding"
13 Man does not know its value,
Nor is it found in the land of the living.
14 The deep says, 'It is not in me';
And the sea says, 'It is not with me'.
15 It cannot be purchased for gold,
Nor can silver be weighed for its price.
16 It cannot be valued in the gold of Ophir,
In precious onyx or sapphire.
17 Neither gold nor crystal can equal it,
Nor can it be exchanged for jewelry of fine gold.
18 No mention shall be made of coral or quartz,
For the price of wisdom is above rubies.
19 The topaz of Ethiopia cannot equal it,
Nor can it be valued in pure gold.
20 From where then does wisdom come?
And where is the place of understanding?
21 It is hidden from the eyes of all living,
And concealed from the birds of the air.
22 Destruction and Death say,
'We have heard a report about it with our ears'.
23 God understands its [wisdom's] way,
And He knows its place.
24 For He looks to the ends of the earth,
And sees under the whole heavens,
25 To establish a weight for the wind,
And apportion the waters by measure.
26 When He made a law for the rain,
And a path for the thunderbolt,
27 Then He saw widom and declared it;
He prepared it, indeed, He searched it out.
28 And to man He said,
'Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom,
And to depart from evil is understanding'.

words of encouragement from Paul 4
I separated out each verse, in order to allow for a savoring contemplation of the incredible, "unbelievable" truths articulated in each of them. It is just breathtaking...
Romans 8
31 What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?
32 He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
33 Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies.
34 Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written:
“ For Your sake we are killed all day long;
We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”
37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,
39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
