conversation and friends

"Any conversation, to be 'real', has to have the basis of faith in Jesus Christ." Have you ever noticed that when you see an old friend after a long time, who is a true believer, you can pick up the conversation with him/her as if you had just seen each other the day before. The same is true when you first meet a true believer, you can talk for hours. However, conversations with unbelievers are often hard to sustain for more than a short time!

Exodus 33
11 So the LORD spoke to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend.

2 Chronicles 20
7 Are you not our God, who drove out the inhabitants of this land before Your people Israel, and gave it to the descendants of Abraham Your friend forever?

John 15
15 No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from my Father I have made known to you.

2 Corinthians 6
15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part does a believer have with an unbeliever?
