Believers are not plugged into the same circuits as unbelievers. In the competition in the early days of PCs and Macs, never the twain could meet. Windows software and Apple software did not speak to 'each' other. And even today all programs are not compatible with each other by a long shot. So unbelievers can get along with each other pretty well, while they find us difficult to be comfortable with, not easy to get along with.

18 If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you.
19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you.
